Jennifer Thompson merupakan orang kuat di belakang tabir, seorang yang dah lama dalam bidang industri seni ini.

Beliau adalah merupakan seorang pengurus persembahan yang mempunyai pengalaman luas selama 30 tahun di dalam bidang yang di ceburinya ini.

Bukan calang-calang orangnya, Kak Jenn ini merupakan producer untuk rancangan Anugerah Bintang Popular selama 9 tahun dan Anugerah Indutsri Muzik Malaysia selama 15 tahun.

Jennifer Thompson juga bekas general manager untuk Persatuan Akademi Industri Muzik Malaysia. Hebat betul.

Dan ramai juga tak tahu, satu lagi trivia yang rare, iaitu Jennifer Thompson ini merupakan bekas isteri pertama Datuk Ramli MS.

My mother is half Chinese half Australian, my father is Irish. I was born and raised in Malaysia. I read, speak and write in Bahasa. I’ve never stepped outside Malaysia to study, I finished all my degrees here.

My mum is a Malaysian, she briefly left to Australia when Japanese came. She returned to Malaysia years later looking for her father who was in-prisoned. Luckily he was one of those lucky ones who survived the war. My father came to Malaysia to fight communist insurgents in 50s with British, met my mom, fell in love, got married, became a Malaysian citizen and never went back. And here you go : )

There is so much positivity from being mixed! For example, I have a muslim background now, because I was married to a muslim myself, even thou I taught Sunday school when I was younger with my mum. It makes me open minded and teaches me appreciate whatever mixed culture we have here. I can never understand why people look down upon others, because I believe that differences makes us stronger, so we should celebrate that. Back in the days, when I was at school, I never saw my friends as Malay, Chinese, Indian, I remember on the radio you’d hear Chinese, Malay or Indian songs being played side by side with no problem at all. I wish those days were back. I brought up my kids not to think about races, we don’t box our friends in, we are all Malaysians.”

Difahamkan menerusi perkahwinan terdahulu bersama Jennifer Thompson atau lebih dikenali sebagai Kak Jenn, Dato’ Ramli dikurniakan sepasang cahaya mata yang diberi nama Najee Ramli dan Nadiah Ramli.
